Reason for writing such an ending(Previous post)
The reason I chose to write the ending with the man getting devoured by the lion is because of the complicated emotions that control the actions and behaviour of the princess.
Firstly, whether or not the princess gives the correct advice to her lover depends on her character. If she truly loved and cared for her lover and was open-minded enough to let him lead the rest of his life peacefully and blissfully without her, she would have given the right advice to open the door in which the beautiful woman hid behind.
However, judging by the fact that she was the beloved and well-taken-care-of daughter of a semi-barbaric king, she most likely was a selfish and self-centered person who did not fathom others' feelings. Therefore, I chose to right my ending with the princess lying to her lover and ending up causing his death.
Therefore, by letting the lion rip him limp from limp, there is absolutely no possibility of him abandoning her for another woman. However, his death would also result in her misery of not being able to meet him ever again. Hence, I wrote the conclusion in the form of a letter, because it could bring out the real story to the king without a third-party announcing, which possibly may be twisted in fear of the king's anger. In the letter, it states that the princess actually commits suicide in order to return to her lover, who then was slaughtered by the king's ruthlessness.
